// SNAPSHOT

A “one-stop-shop” of industry professionals empowering artists with “à-la-carte label-like support” to stay INDEPENDENT. The music industry has changed. Now more than ever, artists and musicians don’t have to rely on labels to craft a successful music career…. they can do it independently.

FP’s goal is to empower independent artists with all of the resources a label would usually provide, but in an “à-la-carte” fashion so artists can utilize the elements they need when they need them…and build their music career on their own terms.

LOCATION: Cumberland House, Saskatchewan, Canada
GENRES: Pop / Rock / EDM / Alternative / Folk / Jazz
RIYL: Billie Holiday, Tina Tuner, Prince, Shania Twain

// BIOS

Modern Day Medicine Woman, Ger Carriere.

1. // If Tina Turner and Prince took a starlit road trip through the Saskatchewan prairies.

2. // If Prince had a guitar, Tina Turner had the mic, Deadmau5 scoring the northern lights, Louis Riel dancing in the shadows, a revolution set to the beat of defiance and destiny.

3. // If Prince’s “Purple Rain” guitar solo got lost in a Cree campfire jam, Tina Turner’s powerhouse vocals crashed a ’90s Lilith Fair stage, and Deadmau5 remixed the smoke signals—this is the wild, genre-melting heartbeat of Ger Carriere.

4. // Picture a haunted honky-tonk where Shania Twain’s fringe twirls to ’70s funk grooves, Florence Welch belts from a northern mountaintop, and the bassline sounds like it was pulled from an illegal 2010s Berlin warehouse rave. That’s Ger Carriere’s wild terrain.

Ger Carriere is a Cree singer-songwriter whose genre-defying music roams freely across pop, rock, folk, and EDM, creating raw, emotional soundscapes that honor resilience, identity, and untamed self-expression. Originally hailing from Métis settlement Cumberland House in Saskatchewan, Ger’s journey as a musician, author, and performer is deeply influenced by her heritage and a relentless drive to empower others through art. With a voice that commands both intimacy and power, her songs tell stories of struggle, freedom, and belonging, combining soulful vocals with dynamic production.

A former journalist and advocate, Ger has performed across North America, headlined cultural events, and released an acclaimed self-titled EP. Her achievements include performances in the musical Bear Grease, a feature in First Lady Nation, and leading workshops to inspire future generations. Whether onstage or on the airwaves, Ger Carriere’s music is a fearless anthem for the bold, the broken, and those finding their way home.

Ger Carriere is a genre-agnostic Cree singer-songwriter who moves effortlessly between pop, EDM, jazz, and folk, driven by an unshakable need to express life in all its brutal, beautiful chaos. Born in the Métis settlement of Cumberland House of Saskatchewan and based in Edmonton, Alberta, Ger’s music doesn’t fit neatly into any box—it cracks it open, burns it, and dances in the ashes. Her voice shifts from velvet-soft to razor-sharp, carrying stories of survival, desire, and reclamation.

Her self-titled debut EP (2020) is an act of self-exposure—pop ballads that bare the heart, folk confessions sung like prayers, and stormy beats that refuse to make pain pretty. Tracks like “From This Day,” born from wedding vows, and “Wild Woman,” an anthem for breaking free, capture the raw duality of tenderness and rage.

Ger’s art is more than melody—it’s the sound of someone who has been dragged to the edge and decided to stay there just long enough to find the view. Her writing, as seen in First Lady Nation (“Wild Woman”) and bLU Talks (C*nt Life”), dives headfirst into the untamed—the messiness of love, fear, and the fight to live fully, on her terms.

On stage, Ger brings an uncontainable presence, performing everywhere from cultural showcases and intimate venues to the acclaimed touring production Bear Grease. Whether she’s fronting an explosive band or alone with a mic, she turns every room into a confessional, laced with grit and grace.

For the ones who claw their way out of expectation, for the souls who refuse to be tamed—Ger is unearthing something sacred and dares you to do the same.

Lyrics:

Verse 1
You went ahead without a word to me,
You bought that….. Trans AM, so casually.
I’m not your driver, Im not your ride, yeah
no longer free & I got no time

I’ve paid the price, for your lovin ,
Lost thousands, Down the drain
Thought I had, a Stallion, got a pony, Not the same

I was your muse, trained ya well
For the next one to come along
ain’t the way love’s suppose to go
I’ll spell it out for you

Chorus
Can I be her!….. your favourite fantasy, your wildest dreams Can I? Can i? Can i? (whisper)
Can I be her!….. scarf and sunglasses in the passenger seat (VROOM)
Can I be her!….. sittin’ pretty on my satin, PINK pillow (mello…hello….ya kno) whisper
Can I be her!….. can I go back in time and just be a girl?
Can I just be ? can I just be a GIRL

Chorus
Can I be her!….. your favourite fantasy, your wildest dreams Can I? Can i? (whisper)
